Liz started practicing yoga to relax while studying for her PhD in Physics. Finding that yoga also improved her swimming and running, she continued her personal yoga practice while working in Paris as a postdoctoral researcher. On returning to London Liz found her interest in yoga deepening, experimenting with Ashtanga and Jivamukti styles and meditation. She connected with yoga on a fundamental level, appreciating its ability to create space within the mind, to calm anxieties while also strengthening the body. She also enjoys connecting with other people and wanted to share the physical and mental benefits of yoga, and decided to train as a yoga teacher.
She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with YogaHaven in July 2018, and now teaches Vinyasa and Hatha yoga.
Liz’s classes are carefully sequenced and suitable for all levels, offering a dynamic flow to strengthen the body and calm the mind. Classes feature a chilled playlist and a projection of gorgeous visuals from the International Space Station, creating an immersive experience designed to allow meditation on the beauty of our Earth during yoga practice.
When not doing yoga, Liz is a scientist and likes to cycle by the Thames and make vegan chocolates.
